How to Manifest Without Being High Vibe

The common manifestation rhetoric has felt frustrating. Mainly the part where people are telling folks to not be “low vibe” during this time. I find this extremely NOT helpful as it can often lead to a lot of pressure and anxiety.

As someone who has felt crappy while holding very profitable launches, found my life partner and our forever home, I just don’t think that it’s necessary to manifest or get what we want.

So I used my spite as fuel to write a huge email around that topic for you!

Enough with this high vibe only nonsense.

We don’t repress anything around here.

You don’t have to be high vibe to get what you want!

So here's the method I have used to get what I want, over and over again…

  • Get really clear on what it is that you want.

For some of, us having the details of what you want can be very helpful, but for others that doesn’t matter as much.

What does matter is TRULY wanting it on all of the levels, and being able to accept the trade-offs of what it will be like to pursue it, get it, and hold it.

This can take a lot of subconscious excavation.

  • Attune to WHY you want it.

For some, it helps to back up what you want with your values.

Why would having this align with your values and benefit something bigger than yourself?

How would it benefit your vision for thr world? (this can help layers of guilt for wanting what you want)

But sometimes what can be really helpful is just not having a reason except that your reason is you want it!

This can look like allowing yourself to to see your desires as hot and holy. That pursuing your desires is the experience that your spirit came here to have in this lifetime.

That you trust yourself and that you are just allowed to have what you want.

  • Believe that what you want is POSSIBLE FOR YOU.

This is one of the most important and potentially trickiest.

To support yourself, get mentors who believe it’s possible for you too.

Get in the room with others who blow your mind with what they have made possible for themselves.

Always look for evidence that it is possible for you

Practice seeing the “setbacks” and challenges as part of the process.

Believing that it is possible for you can be easier said than done.

That's why having a practitioner who is trained in trauma resolution work and who won’t gaslight you around systems of harm can be very helpful. Working with someone who knows how to work with attachment, existential and survival traumas that have you believe that your desires don’t matter or aren’t possible can be extremely helpful. (Hiii!)

  • Take consistent action that moves you towards getting what you want.

I see this in two major ways.

One of them is: What is the capacity building skill that you need?

Where do you need to expand your capacity to become the person that can reach and hold what you want?

Do you need to build your capacity around selling? Is it around visibility? Is it around holding client calls that don’t feel self extractive? Is it around becoming a more refined practitioner?

What identity/archetype would help you and what skill set would help you get and hold what you want?

And what is an action that you can do on repeat for a period of time to increase your capacity for that thing?

Is it selling for 30 times in 30 days? Is it writing vulnerably every day for 21 days?

  • 2nd part of taking action:

What are some of the other actions that aren’t just the repetitive capacity building actions, but would move you towards your goal?

You might have some idea of them now, but break them into really small doable pieces and put them on your calendar.

Write down “ten mins of brainstorming” as an action step. Things you can actually cross off your list, without needing to get to have 10 more sub tasks.

Also I really REALLY encourage you to attune to the spirit of your creativity

Tune into the spirit of your business, ask your inner guides, your outer guides and listen for those nudges.

What is the next step? What is the thing to do next?

Even if it doesn’t quite make sense, letting the nudges guide you can move the needle and move the energy!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done a seemingly random action that the spirit of my business told me to do and at the same moment a new client signed! It’s wild.

  • Practice self compassion and staying in your lane.

The current conditions of your reality are likely very different than that of others.

If you experience multiple layers of harm in your external reality, all of the above may take more time and effort.

That being said, just because they happen more quickly or easily for others, doesn’t mean they can’t also be possible for you.

Getting mentors who can hold this with you whether it’s part of their identity/lived experience or they are skilled in holding it with you, can be very helpful.

  • Imagine how you would feel when reaching your goal and getting what you want.

Can you picture yourself reaching it? What are you wearing? Who are you with? Where are you? What sounds are you hearing? What smells are in the air? What are you tasting (any celebration food?!) What is your body posture?

How could you let yourself feel this way regularly?

What actions can you take to remind yourself that you get to feel this way on the way to your goal?

You get to relish in the process!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten what I wanted and still felt sad. We get to practice embodying our joy today.

This doesn't mean repressing or bypassing the hard stuff, but orienting towards feeling good before and not just until we get what we want.

Also: lean into the OPPOSITE feeling.

Want to feel surprised and delighted? Then build your capacity to feel disappointment as well.

This can build our capacity for feeling the surprise and delight.

This is also why I cringe when people say to not feel “low vibe” when going after what you want! I think it’s actually part of the process!


  • Normalize the contraction before the expansion.

Right before you have your next expansion and get what you want, you often feel like poo or life starts going sideways.

Our nervous system doesn’t like change even when it’s good. Normalize the contraction before the expansion.

Let this be a part of the process and evidence that you’re almost there.

  • Decide that it gets to work for you over and over and over again until it does.

Even if it doesn’t happen in the timeline that you imagined or wanted. you don’t know exactly when it’s going to come, but keep deciding that it will work for you until it does.

What practices will help you recommit to this over and over again? (accountability here can be fabulous)
